Time Travel For A Hat!

While looking around the new stuff coming out in patch 2.4.3, an interesting entry caught my eye. It’s about a quest to get a cool looking Spanish style hat. What makes it interesting is what you have to do to get it.

New Quest NPC Don Carlos and his White Stallion have been added just out side Gadgetzan Graveyard in Tanaris.
Quest name “Nice Hat…” Defeat his old self in the Caverns of Time within the Old Hillbrad instance Bring his Hat back as Proof. Not a Chain.

The quest text is very telling about what this quest is all about. Apparently Don Carlos loved dueling people in his younger days. So you have to go back in time via the Caverns of Time and duel him and you get his hat when you beat him.

This is the kind of quest that adds flavor to the game without adding anything really significant gear wise. It’s just a hat that does nothing except look cool but the what you do in this quest sounds like fun and I’m sure it’s something a lot of people would do precisely for that reason.
