Like many major internet companies, Facebook offers hackers a bounty of $500 if they report vulnerabilities that could be exploited by evildoers. Palestinian Khalil Shreateh found such a glitch and reported it twice. After being ignored by the Facebook technical team, he went ahead and alerted Mark Zuckerberg directly by posting to his wall despite lacking the proper authorization. But even after realizing and fixing this loophole, this multi-billion dollar company is refusing to pay this man his $500.

Scroll down to see 9 pictures of Khalil Shreateh in a gallery that also include screenshots of his interactions with Facebook.

It’s ridiculous that this guy hasn’t been given a bounty payment. After getting ignored, he could have used his hack to wreak havoc. Instead, he remained white hat and simply did what was needed to get noticed. In our books, he’s a hero. Pay this man, Mark, we know you can afford it.
