The Sweden Olympic team shouldn’t be disappointed about their showing in the 2014 Winter Olympics. The Swedes will leave Sochi with 15 total medals — two gold, seven silver and six bronze.
Sweden won most of their medals in cross-country where they tallied two gold medals, five silver medals and four bronze. Their other four medals came in curling (silver and bronze), ice hockey (silver) and freestyle skiing (bronze).
Unfortunately their men’s hockey squad went into the gold-medal game undermanned on Sunday and was defeated by the Canadian team by a score of 3-0. A miracle would have really excited the country of Sweden — but it was not to be. Regardless, they did well.
