By now, you may have heard that the third Captain America movie will be released on the same day as the highly-anticipated Batman vs. Superman film. During a press conference for the UK release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the cast and crew addressed questions about the epic showdown.

Winter Soldier co-director Joe Russo said: ”When two cars are speeding at each other, one of them’s gotta veer out of the way at some point.” He also explained that Marvel claimed the date first and, therefore, did not want to budge and seem intimidated by the upcoming DC flick.

His brother (and co-director), Anthony Russo, was also diplomatic and said that they are going to focus on making the ”best movie we can make.”

Fortunately, actor, Anthony Mackie, was less diplomatic in his wording and said: “In other words, punks step up to get beat down!” He added “we’ve got Chris Evans – deal with it!”

Samuel L. Jackson couldn’t resist and also fired some shots and said that the Marvel franchise has “heroes” whereas the DC Universe has “interesting bad guys.”

The battle of the superhero movies takes place on May 6, 2016.  Here’s a video from the press conference.
