A feud between Fox News and real estate magnate Donald Trump has apparently been resolved thanks to a conversation between Trump and Fox News CEO Roger Ailes. Trump had expressed his disappointment with his portrayal on the network after Thursday’s GOP debate, but a recent tweet from Trump suggests that the situation has been resolved.
Ailes told his side of the story to TheBlaze.com, issuing a statement concerning the spat between Trump and Fox News. “Donald Trump and I spoke today.” Ailes said. “We discussed our concerns, and I again expressed my confidence in Megyn Kelly. She is a brilliant journalist and I support her 100 percent. I assured him that we will continue to cover this campaign with fairness & balance. We had a blunt but cordial conversation and the air has been cleared.”
Trump sent out a tweet that corroborated Ailes’ story just hours before.
Roger Ailes just called. He is a great guy & assures me that “Trump” will be treated fairly on @FoxNews. His word is always good!

Trump received top billing during the Thursday debate because of his strong performance in the polls.
Following the debate, Trump began to criticize Fox News for allegedly treating him unfairly with its coverage of his campaign. In particular, Trump called out Fox News host Megyn Kelly for a harsh commentary she delivered on words Trump had said in regards to women.
“I have no respect for her,” Trump said. “I don’t think she’s very good I think she’s highly overrated. She gets out and she starts asking me all sorts of ridiculous questions, and, you know, you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever.” While neither a Trump nor Kelly have apologized to each other, the hostility seems to have come to a close for now.
