After Twitter stripped Milo Yiannopoulos of his verified status, the editor of Breitbart Tech made sure that Twitter knew they had made a mistake.
Soon the hashtag #JeSuisMilo trended worldwide as Twitter users from both sides of the political spectrum began to speak their outrage of Yiannopoulos being singled out by the mega-social network for no other reason for his outspokenness about his right-wing ideals.
Yiannopoulos stopped by #EJPC this week to talk to us about it, and he had some serious words about blatant left-wing progressive, social justice bias that Twitter has demonstrated.
‘We’ve seen this before. The direction of censorship and punishment always flows in one direction – it’s only ever conservatives,” said Yiannopoulos. “Progressives can say ‘kill all white men’ with impunity. Twitter has never, and will never ban anyone from its network for saying ‘kill all white men’. If you say ‘kill all Muslims’, you’re banned tomorrow.”
“Twitter is now an actively progressive engine of propaganda, and I say that with no hint of exaggeration,” he continued. “They have decided which side they’re on in the culture wars.”
This can be proved largely true, as Twitter has banned those who spoke out against social causes that ran contrary to the progressive, or social justice narrative in the past, such as those who found themselves siding with GamerGate.
