Chicago Police body camera footage was released to the public on Friday showing the shooting of unarmed 18-year-old Paul O’Neal.

O’Neal had been a suspect in a car theft before leading police on a chase. O’Neal hit a Chicago police cruiser before abandoning the vehicle and leading police on foot chase.

In the video below, you don’t see the actual shooting, but you can hear the gunshots.

O’Neal was shot in the back, then put in handcuffs. It appears that officers did not attempt to render aid as he lay bleeding on the ground.

“It is one of the most horrific things I have seen,” Michael Oppenheimer, the O’Neil family’s lawyer, said of the footage.

“We just came from watching Chicago police officers execute Paul O’Neal. These police officers decided to play judge, jury and executioner.”
