In Pennsylvania on Thursday, a young boy fell from a wooden roller coaster and was airlifted to the hospital. The 3-year-old boy was riding the Rollo Coaster at Idlewild & SoakZone in Ligonier, outside of Pittsburgh, when the accident occurred.
The old wooden coaster has a height minimum of 48 inches, or 36 inches, if the child is accompanied by an adult. It is not known whether the boy was riding with his parents or someone else.
At this point, there are not many details about his condition, other than he was conscious when taken to the hospital.
This incident comes on the heels of the fatal accident at Schlitterbahn Water Park in Kansas City, where a 10-year-old boy was killed on a water slide.
