Valentine’s Day can be a tough day. If you are happy and in love, it’s can be a happy occasion. For those who are single, it can be depressing to be surrounded by happy couples celebrating their love. Likewise, it can be awkward for people in new relationships who aren’t sure how the other person truly feels about them.

Imagine, though, if you thought you had made a love connection and took the opportunity to publicly declare your affections on Valentine’s Day and then were shot down in one of the harshest ways imaginable. Welcome to Olivia Pierson’s world!

Pierson, who stars on the E! television series WAGS took to Instagram (where she is known to drop near naked pics on the regular) last night and posted a photo with shirtless Sixers player, Joel Embiid. The caption she wrote seemed to suggest the two were an item. She wrote: “Happy Valentine’s Day to this hunk @joelembiid. Thank you for being you. I’m so proud of you. You are the most loyal person to me in this crazy life! And to me that’s priceless #ShipDocked.”

In response, the center addressed the situation on Instagram live by sharing the same photo but with the words “FAKE NEWS” written on top.

SAVAGE! He can deny it but she was able to take that picture somehow, right? Unless, of course, he’s suggesting that she photoshopped it.

Can you imagine her face when she saw that? It’s one thing if he found a way to thank her for the attention and kind words and then, gently, let everyone know that they are not in a relationship. It’s pretty rough to just call her out like that, especially on Valentine’s Day.

While I can’t help but admit that it’s a little funny, most of the commenters felt sorry for Pierson. I wonder what she did to deserve such a harsh rejection.
