NFL Week 6 Power Rankings

With five weeks of the 2009 NFL season in the books, there are still five teams that are undefeated. Here’s a look at those five teams and which are the cream of the crop.
5. Denver Broncos
Even though the Broncos are 5-0, does anyone truly believe that this team is a Super Bowl contender? Many experts aren’t even believing that Denver will make the playoffs. I guess we’ll see.
4. Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings have won each of their five games. While nothing is too wrong with their squad, Brett Favre remains a question mark. Can he survive the entire 17 week NFL schedule?
3. New Orleans Saints
When it comes to an explosive offense, the Saints are at the top of the list. And though their defense is obviously improved, is it improved enough?
2. Indianapolis Colts
Peyton Manning has been fantastic. He has easily been the best player in the NFL this season. That said, he’ll need some help to win it all. His supporting cast isn’t somewhat questionable.
1. New York Giants
The Giants just look like a winner. They are tough on the road, they execute well and they are proven. As long as Eli Manning stays healthy, this team will be difficult to beat.

Unbelievable! The Broncos are undefeated at 5-0,they have the #1 ranked defense in the nfl,the offense is getting better with each game they’ve played,ie; 424yds against the Patriots, plus the teams they have played thus far have a better win/loss record than any of the other undefeated teams.
Here is the W/L records for the opposing teams they’ve played so far:
Den 12-13
NY 3-22
Colts 8-16
Saints 8-11
Vikings 7-17
Ranking a 4-0 Saints team over Denver is a joke, and while the Giants and Colts have put up impressive numbers on offense, the opponents they’ve played have a combined win/loss record of just 11-38.
Here is my revised Power Rankings based on performance and strength of schedule through the first 5 weeks:
1.Broncos
2.Saints
3.Vikings
4.Colts
5.Giants
**This could change radically after this Sundays matchup between the Giants and Saints.
