Out Now “Dirt 2”
Dirt 2 was released today and I think it looks like a pretty decent off-road racing game and follow up to the original which came out in 2007. I have to admit that I tend to stick with road racing games – it’s not that I don’t like the off-road ones, I just never seem to pick one up.
I’m thinking this would be a good one to try since there’s all kinds of new technology thrown into this title and, while the graphics don’t look as impressive as the ones in the upcoming Forza Motorsport 3, it still looks good.
Players will the get chance to drive a variety of vehicles in events taking place at venues including the Los Angeles Sports Stadium (“Stadium King Shootout”), Utah’s “Creek Trailblazer” and the “Rawang Rally Run” along Malaysian rainforest tracks. I can already imagine how tough that last one might be.
You’ll also get to compete in a World Tour in both solo events as well as multi-car races in real-world environments. The game offers full online multiplayer capabilities so you can become entrenched in the extreme sports community.
If you happen to pick up a copy and would like to tell me what you liked/disliked about it, I’d love it if you left a comment. In the meantime, check out this trailer:
