Back on July 21st, we asked our readers of the guys that will be moving teams in 2009, “Which Driver Will Have the Better 2009 Season?” We asked, and here’s how you responded:

A) Tony Stewart - 36%
B) Mark Martin - 30%
C) Ryan Newman - 29%
D) Casey Mears - 3%

    That surprised me that Tony Stewart got the most votes. I am not as pessimistic now about his 2009 season as I was a couple of weeks ago, but I still think it will take some time to get that team on a winning tack. Maybe the second half of the season he will start showing what he can do. It would be cool to see him win the 2009 Daytona 500 right off the bat, but I don’t think that will happen. Maybe I will once again be pleasantly surprised.

    Yeah, to be honest, I kinda thought that Mark Martin would win this poll, but I was more surprised with the votes that Newman got more than anything. Nonetheless, there were nearly 80 votes on this poll, so it seems legit enough.
