“Scream” Triple Pack
I don’t know if you’ve heard about it but a fourth Scream movie is in the works so now is as good a time as any to watch the first three movies for the first time or get a quick refresher if you’ve already seen them.
I spotted the Scream Triple Pack which will be released tomorrow and I thought it would be perfect. Halloween is next month and since it is on a Saturday, I’m planning to have a scary movie marathon and this will definitely be on my list.
The DVD pack includes Scream, Scream 2 and Scream 3 which were all pretty good to varying degrees. I liked the first and the third one the best but the second one wasn’t bad.
In the original flick, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) seems to be associated with a series of mysterious deaths in a normally peaceful suburban community. Almost everyone in town becomes a suspect but the real reason for the murders is finally revealed at the end.
In the second movie, Sidney goes away to college (I’m sure her town was happy to see her go!) and things appear to be stabilizing in her life until a copy-cat killer decides to make a real-life sequel! Sidney and her friends (and fellow survivors) Gale Weathers (Courtney Cox) and Deputy Dewey (David Arquette) try to stay alive while they figure out whose at the bottom of this latest killing spree.
In Scream 3, Sidney, Gale and Dewey are reunited for the weirdest film in the series. A Hollywood producers has decided to turn the Woodsboro killings into a movie which seems bad enough but actually gets worse when actors start dying on-set! Having Parker Posey in the mix as the on-screen version of Gale Weathers was genius – I loved when the two Gales had to interact. It was great!
This is a great collection to have so if you don’t already own all of the films, it might be worth picking up a copy of the Scream Triple Pack.
