Who’s that girl? Charlotte Salt is Lady Ursula Misseldon on The Tudors

So King Henry is passing time with a gorgeous new lady-in-waiting (one who likes fancy jewelry and knows how to set it off) and you may be wondering about the actress who plays her.

British actress Charlotte Salt, 23, has several American and UK series to her credit and a budding film career. At age 13 she was cast in the series Born and Bred, which had a successful three-year run across the pond. Stateside she’s had guest and recurring roles in Entourage, CSI and Wildfire. SaltĀ also provided the voice of Estrith in the movie Beowulf, starring Angelina Jolie. She has two other films, Deep in the Valley and Ivory, listed on her resume.

Her role on The Tudors will take her through five episodes this season, according to Salt’s web site. Misseldon is a fictional character — there’s no historical record of such a lady being mistress to Sir Francis Bryant and King Henry — and if she was a muse for court artist Hans Holbein, he didn’t keep a record of it. Which isn’t to say that someone like her couldn’t have existed, and Salt sure wields her sexual power to good effect. Here she is out on the town in Ireland with co-stars Henry Cavill and James Frain, and earlier at the Beowulf premiere in LA:

I appear to be in the minority here, but I believe Charlotte to be the most beautiful woman to appear on the Tudors to date. No contest.

Having just caught-up on Season 3, I completely agree with you.
