LOLs Abound: Watch Out for the Fake Linus Torvalds
And yes, geeks do have fun! The Linux Foundation has just started a contest for the best Fake Linus Torvalds and you could view their posts via the Linux Foundation Twitter account. There are four fake Linus Torvalds posting their tweets. Have a grand time reading and laughing about their amusing tweets as Linus. These Fake Linus Torvalds (also known as FLTs) are currently anonymous and you will only know who they are at LinuxCon, after the Kernel Panel of, no other than the REAL Linus Torvalds.
This really amusing. : D This reminds me of the time the CTO of the company I work for had his birthday and then someone made a fake blog for him as a birthday surprise! It was fun and the different teams had a great time checking it out and had some laughs. Thankfully our CTO has a great sense of humor and could take such a prank in good humor. After all there were LOL cats in the blog so that was one good thing definitely going for it. ; )
The idea of the FLTs could stir up some buzz for the LinuxCon and it could lead to lots of LOLs for Linux geeks too. : D And who knows what these FLTs could come up with! What will they do get your votes eh? And who are those FLTs? We should all stay in tune and look out for updates on the Linux Foundation FLT page. Cool thing Linus Torvalds seems to have a sense of humor and could let himself be subject to this parody-ing and stuff. : D
So when will the best Linus Torvalds stand up? It’s still on the 21st of September. We’ve got a whole lot of tweets coming our way, from the looks of things. Wait and see what they’ll dish out for us and who’d win the “Silver Penguin” award for this.
