Sims 3 World Adventures IGN Preview

I know that I’ve said a few times that I don’t plan on running right out and buying World Adventures when it hits stores next monthts3worldadventures_mummy_psd_jpgcopy. And, I still don’t plan on pre-ordering the game or anything but this video from IGN has made me much more interested than I have been in the past.

For some reason, the fact that the zombies can curse you adds a new degree of interest. I’m also interested in the fact that there seems to be some directed play in the expansion. While I love the free-form nature of Sims 3, I often find myself not playing the game but creating houses or Sims or something else that has nothing to do with any story and then I burn myself out.

With a bit of structure, I have a goal and don’t get bored.

Maybe I’m reading too much into the video, but it gave me a bit of hope for the expansion and I’m actually looking forward to the release.

What are your thoughts on the expansion? Will you be getting it the second it hits the shelves?

Since Bon Voyage was not one of my favorite expansion pack, I was not expecting this kind of ep as the first one. But as we got more and more details about it, it does sound interesting and different from other expansions. I never really liked the “creature” part in every expansion and never explored that side of the sims game. But now it is a different story and I cant wait to get my hands on it :)
