Too many of the starter houses that are available for download for Sims 3 are either bare bones and ugly or they’re beautiful but have so much custom content that there’s no way that you would REALLY be able to have such a bad ass house on a “just starting out” budget.
This isn’t one of those houses.
This starter by MotorHalo manages to ride that fine line between so cheap that there’s no way that you would live in it and so much custom content that you’re essentially cheating your way into an inexpensive house.
Modern Starter for Two comes both unfurnished …read more
If you haven’t noticed yet, I tend to enjoy the “modern” style of houses that people put out for the Sims games.
They just seem so much cleaner and streamlined than the other styles that are out right now and I guess those are really some of the definitions of modern design.
Anyway, this “Sunrise” house is awesome.
The original design comes from Dan Tyree, a modern house designer, and is a gem.
3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. A pool and a great view.
I’m assuming that the house comes unfurnished since links to the custom furniture is given and “furnished/unfurnished” downloads aren’t included – just …read more
21 Rhondal Drive is one of those houses that I would totally buy in real life if I only needed one bedroom and one bathroom.
The layout is simple and makes sense. You have a nice sized entry way that comes off of a cute little front porch, a good sized living room, a small dining area and the kitchen holds the back wall. There’s a hallway that leads from the kitchen connects with the one bathroom and leads to the one bedroom. There’s no garage but there is room to park one vehicle.
The bedroom is plenty big enough to hold …read more
Costa Villa is one of those Sims 3 houses that takes modern house design and makes it pretty.
The house has two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a gym room and a swimming pool. If you put it on a beach lot then you can also get the awesome views that are shown in the screenshots.
The house is on the expensive side with the furnished house costs 195, 368 § and the unfurnished house will set you back 122, 940 §. However, with a house that looks this good, sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and pay up.
If you like color and you like modern design then I’ve found the perfect modern Sims 3 house download for your Sims 3 game.
The “house” is actually collection of three houses and each house is a different primary color: yellow, red and blue. You can purchase the “house” furnished with modern furniture for $121,222 or unfurnished for $99,982.
There are spots for three cars [though the cars aren't included in the download] and the primary colored fence is there to give you some brightly colored privacy from the prying eyes of those boring neutral toned neighbors.
Even if this house isn’t your …read more
Even your most redneck Sim needs a good house and why not get them a redneck mansion?
This puppy has ten different totally cool and redneck areas for you to explore and what redneck mansion would be complete without wooden pallets? You need not worry your pretty little head about wooden pallets since they’re included in this download. Ten custom items are included but the satellite dish [a must for any redneck mansion] isn’t included and neither is the patio chair and recliner. However, the links for those downloads are included.
Don’t your Sims deserve a redneck mansion to call their own?
The perfect cabin in the woods!
This Winnipeg lodge comes fully furnished with four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a two car garage. A swimming pool and a bar complete this huge, beautiful lodge.
Download and enjoy. I know I will.
Sims 3 holds tons of great things for you to add to your houses and to bring out your inner architect. I love the way that the creators have reinvented the build screen and they’ve made the whole deal much more true to life.
If you haven’t been able to build your dream house just yet and you tend to like a more modern look for your house then this download might be just right for you.
Even if you decide to not download the house, check out the design for ideas to use on your own project.

I like custom building materials.
You can only use the default Sims 2 building things before you get bored and notice that you’re making the same house-over and over and over. Surely I’m not the only one who does that?
Adele has made some awesome industrial building elements that should spice up your buildings. Like all good things, a little goes a long way.
