When Good Shirts Go Bad

After doing a Fangtasia tank for the guys, I’ve been meaning to make a female version. Actually, I DID make a chick version but it was an epic {OK. Not totally epic but it was far from perfect} fail and it didn’t get accepted at Mod the Sims. They gave me some helpful feedback on how to make it better but in the end, I scrapped it.

When you make a custom shirt like the tank that I did, you have to have a “stencil” to put on the shirt and that stencil has to be high quality so that the finished result isn’t blurry.

Last night, I revisited the whole chick shirt but with a different stencil and each time, I thought that I had it…and I didn’t.

One thing to note, when you’re making a custom shirt, make sure that you install the freakin’ shirt before you restart the game. I forgot this important step about five times last night. Five times of waiting for the game to load, entering CAS and then realizing that I hadn’t installed the new shirt.

At some point last night, I ended up with THIS creation:

When Good Shirts Go Bad

Yeah, I’m still not sure how I managed that.

I finally got the stencil fixed but then the shirt was screwed up since that weird grey color was the ONLY color that you could have.

True Blood Shot with Messed Up Shirt Color

After redoing the shirt {again}, I ended up with this:

True-Blood-Chick-Shirt-on-White

True-Blood-Chick-Shirt-on-Black

The shirt itself is recolorable so you could technically have any color that you want. I think it looks best on white.

I’m so tired of looking at this shirt, so I haven’t uploaded it to Mod the Sims yet for approval since I need a couple of in game shots and I don’t have the patience right now.

Maybe tomorrow.
