The MotoGP competitions at Donington Park came to an end Sunday after a history that has seen its share of amazing moments and tragic events. This marks a point in history that’s both a pity and turns a page in the history books of the fastest sport on two wheels that will never be forgotten. Andrea Dovizioso will rank a note or two in the history books as the last premier class winner at the Midlands circuit, but this competitive racer is probably just glad to grab a needed 25 points toward his goal of a world championship.

Sebastian Vettel dominated the qualifying rounds for the British Grand Prix held earlier this week amid the beauty and majesty of the British countryside. Many thought that due the events seen in the qualifying rounds that the race results were already written for the British Grand Prix and as it turns out they were right.

Justin Gatlin is the Olympic gold medallist in 100m in the last Summer Olympics. He also holds the world record in the same event, 9.77 seconds, together with Powell.
However, in the recent British Grand Prix, Asafa Powell ran the world record time once again — his first was in June 2005 in Athens.
Gatlin withdrew from the running in the meet, reason being that there’s no contract for him to run against Powell. I reckon it’s just a strategy put in place by his agent.
